Getting started in bee improvement

A one-day event organised by the

Bee Improvement Programme for Cornwall (BIPCo)

To be held at Dobwalls Memorial Hall, Higher Meadow, Dobwalls PL14 6LS Saturday 28^th January 2012.

Commencing 9.30 am until 4.00pm

Topics include:

·       Assessment of bees

·       Record keeping

·       Breeding within a strain

·       Morphometry

·       Queen rearing

·       Queen mating

·       Use of nucs and mini-nucs

A programme for all those interested in improving the quality of their bees through assessment, selection and the rearing of new queens.

Tea/coffe provided, Soup/lunch available.
